We are living in socially and culturally constructed realms of interpretation in which significance is attributed to certain characters and acts and particular outcomes are valued over others. These social forces drive behavior. The intention is to challenge this.
The project starts with the premise that the world is not neutral and has been shaped by the values of a society that are innately patriarchal. The idea is to disturb those who have been comfortable for too long. Gender diversity is taken into account but also intersections with other identity variables, such as age, origin, sexual identity, the type of cohabitation unit where one lives in, social class, functional diversity, and so on. The needs of the diverse individuals can only be understood through sharing about their ways of experiencing the world. Emphasis is given to the needs of these subjugated groups and individuals.
